Every organization has certain rules and regulations which are supposed to be followed by everyone either it is a student or a teacher. Being a teacher it is our responsibility to put our best for securing the future of our students as well as the integrity of our institute. Criticism makes things work in a better way if it is for a common cause not personal one. Before raising our fingers at others and directing our cannons, one must realize that did he justify himself what he was supposed to do? Good politicians are desperately needed by this nation, but in assemblies not in educational institutes. I wish TCS Gujrat Branch a very bright future and may it continue serving Gujrat for years.
I worked in TCS, Gujrat Branch as O Level's Biology teacher for the session 2011-2012 and after experiencing one year of teaching here I can say that it was the best time for me during which I not only learned basic but also certain advanced teaching strategies and skills. The faculty members whom we used to call FAMILY were not only well trained professional teachers but also possessed some other unique qualities like tolerance, cooperation and being helpful. The motto of TCS "I am to Learn" is followed in its true spirit in the Gujrat Branch. The academia, sports activities and other co-curricular activities are not only given special attention but the students are also motivated at all levels to take one step ahead in these activities. The training workshops, seminars, discussions and multimedia presentations not only helped me to adjust myself as a newly fresh teacher in Gujrat Branch but now in the Government sector I am being benefited by them. The working environment for teachers (TCS Family) is not only comfortable but also adds tons of knowledge about the teaching profession. The dealing of our worthy head in a professional way made me realize that we were all working for a common cause which was to secure the future of our children and strengthen the trust of or parents. Because of this positive professional approach the trust and satisfaction of parents is increasing day by day. TCS Gujrat Branch had already proven itself to be one of the best O Level's institute in Gujrat and it is because of the continuous efforts of its head, teachers and the positive response of students and their parents. In 2009 ,The City School (TCS) sought and received accreditation by The Higher learning School. Established in 1978, The City School is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in South Asia. Striving to achieve and maintain the highest academic standards, our schools have become leaders in the field of educational development. We are committed to upholding traditional values while providing the knowledge and skills our students will need to compete with the very best in the 21st century.
The only school in Gujrat showing negative growth (school strength going down day by day), high rate of withrawls due to parents' concerns, qualified staff but teachers' turn over is very high due to the management being too administrative and more focussed on record keeping instead of academic develoment. School head is too stuburn to deal and talk with. It's mature educational system but less confident, not aggressive towards academic practices and is too defensive towards dealing with the problems and resolving the issues. I think it's no longer in the competitive market of Gujrat schools. They need to acquire a big campus with play grounds, keep the experienced faculty and post in an experienced, mature and versatile head. I regret I referred 11 parents to this school where my children were vulnerable to physical handling and my wife as a teacher faced administrative targeting by the headmistress.
